What is auto detailing? Auto detailing is a thorough, professional cleaning and restoration of your vehicle — inside and out. It goes well beyond a standard car wash. Detailing involves decontaminating the paint, correcting surface imperfections, deep cleaning the interior, and applying protective treatments to keep the vehicle looking its best long term. The goal isn’t just clean — it’s restoring the car as close to its original condition as possible, or better.
How is detailing different from a regular car wash? A car wash removes surface dirt. Detailing addresses everything underneath that — embedded contaminants in the paint, swirl marks, oxidation, stained upholstery, bacteria in the carpet, and more. A car wash takes 10 minutes. A proper detail takes hours. They’re not really comparable — one is maintenance, the other is restoration and protection.
How often should I get my car detailed? For most people, once or twice a year is the right answer for a full interior and exterior detail. If you have a ceramic coating, the exterior stays cleaner longer so you may only need paint work every couple of years. Interior cleaning frequency depends on your lifestyle — kids, pets, and daily food or coffee spills mean more frequent cleaning makes sense. The simple rule is: the more regularly you maintain it, the easier and cheaper each service becomes.
What services do you offer? We offer a full range of detailing and paint protection services including deep interior cleaning, our Signature Interior package, Level 1 and Level 2 paint correction, ceramic coating, paint protection film, headlight restoration, engine bay cleaning, and odor removal. We serve customers throughout Montgomery County, Maryland including Germantown, Gaithersburg, Rockville, Damascus, Bethesda, and surrounding areas.
How much does auto detailing cost? It depends entirely on the service and the vehicle. Interior cleaning starts at $150 for smaller cars and goes up to $500+ for large vehicles in heavy condition. Paint correction starts at $350 and ceramic coating packages start at $600. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all pricing — the condition of the car matters as much as the size. Reach out with your vehicle details and we’ll give you a straight, honest quote.
How long does detailing take? It depends on the service. An interior clean takes 4–5 hours for a standard car. Paint correction takes a full day or more depending on the severity of the damage. Ceramic coating with full paint correction can take 1–2 days. We’ll always give you a realistic timeline upfront — we’d rather set honest expectations than rush a job to meet an arbitrary deadline.
Can detailing fix scratches and swirl marks? Yes — through paint correction. Light swirl marks and minor scratches respond well to our Level 1 polish. Deeper scratches, heavy oxidation, and more significant paint damage require Level 2 correction which uses a more aggressive compound followed by a finishing polish. Some scratches that have cut through the clear coat can’t be polished out — we’ll measure the paint thickness and give you an honest assessment of what’s achievable before we start.
Is detailing worth the money? For most car owners, yes. The obvious benefit is that your car looks significantly better. But beyond that, regular detailing protects your paint from UV damage and environmental contaminants that degrade the clear coat over time, keeps the interior materials from cracking and wearing prematurely, and maintains the car’s resale value. A well-maintained car sells faster and for more money than a neglected one. If you’re planning to keep the car long term, ceramic coating in particular is one of the best investments you can make.
Do you offer any guarantee on your work? We stand behind everything we do. If you’re not happy with the results, tell us — we’ll make it right. Ceramic coating packages come with protection ratings based on the tier you choose, ranging from 1 year up to 8 years with proper maintenance. For detailing services, our commitment is simple: we don’t consider the job finished until the results match what we promised when you dropped the car off.

Do you work on all types of vehicles? Yes — cars, SUVs, minivans, trucks, and everything in between. We also have specific experience with Teslas which have unique considerations for ceramic coating and PPF due to their soft paint, oversized glass, and panoramic roofs. If you have a specialty or high-end vehicle, that’s exactly the kind of work we enjoy most.
