Here at Beyondshowroom Premium Auto Detailing Our Level 2 paint correction service is meticulously designed to eliminate approximately 80% of bothersome swirls, scratches, and imperfections that mar your paint’s beauty. Through an intensive cutting and polishing process known as a 2-step correction, we unveil unparalleled gloss and crystal-clear clarity from your paintwork.
The effectiveness of this process depends on various factors, including whether your vehicle is new or not. Some scratches may not completely disappear, owing to their depth or the thinning of the clear coat (we’ll gauge this through paint measurements before commencing).
Our expertise comes into play as we make a careful assessment of what can safely be removed from your paint. It’s not just about quantity, but also about preserving the paint’s integrity within optimal boundaries.
Even relatively new vehicles, only a few months out of the showroom, can benefit from a 2-step correction service. Despite your short ownership period, the vehicle has undergone transportation, handling, and exposure to various conditions.
Throughout this journey, your car endures movement, washing, transportation, storage, and more. Thus, it’s unsurprising that most vehicles leave the showroom adorned with a multitude of swirls and imperfections.
Opting for Level 2 paint correction signifies a commitment to your vehicle’s lasting splendor. Sustaining the newfound shine requires proper post-service maintenance. Incorrect washing and drying practices can swiftly reintroduce swirls and scratches into your paint’s surface after just a few washes.
Should you intend to sell your vehicle and wish to enhance its paint for potential buyers, consider our Level 1 polishing or Level 2 polishing.
As an ultimate protection we recommend applying a Ceramic Coating to “seal” this finish for years.
This service demands the utmost dedication and effort. The duration can vary from 8 to 15 hours, contingent on your vehicle, its condition, and the desired outcomes.
Enhance your experience by opting for our Full Interior Cleaning as an add-on. The transformation will be striking, both inside and out.
For most cars that have visible paint damage, yes — especially dark-colored vehicles where every imperfection shows. The difference between a Level 2 corrected car and an uncorrected one is dramatic. It’s also worth considering that if you’re planning to apply ceramic coating afterward, Level 2 gives you the cleanest possible surface to coat, which means the coating bonds better and the end result looks significantly better. If you’re going to invest in ceramic coating, doing a proper Level 2 correction first is the right way to do it.
It’s a time-intensive process — typically between 8 and 15 hours depending on the size of the vehicle, the condition of the paint, and the results you’re after. That’s why we ask customers to drop the car off rather than wait. We work panel by panel under proper lighting, checking progress constantly. There’s no shortcut to doing this right, and we’d rather take the time to get it done properly than rush through it.
We strongly recommend it. Once we’ve corrected the paint, you’re left with a bare, unprotected clear coat that looks incredible but is vulnerable to picking up new swirl marks within weeks if it’s not protected. Ceramic coating locks in the correction and keeps the paint protected for years. The two services genuinely go hand in hand — correction gets the paint looking its best, coating keeps it that way. Most customers who do Level 2 on a car they plan to keep go ahead with ceramic coating for exactly this reason.
Level 1 uses a single polishing step that removes around 30–50% of surface defects — light swirl marks, minor scratches, and dullness. It’s a good option for cars that are in decent shape and just need refreshing. Level 2 goes further. We use a more aggressive cutting compound first to break down deeper defects, then follow up with a finishing polish to restore gloss and clarity. The result is 80% or more defect removal and a significantly deeper, mirror-like finish. If your paint has heavy swirling, oxidation, or scratches you can feel with your fingernail, Level 2 is what you need.
Any vehicle with significant paint damage, but dark-colored cars — black, dark blue, dark grey, burgundy — benefit the most because those colors show every swirl and scratch under light. Luxury vehicles are also a common candidate because the owners care about maintaining the appearance and value. Older vehicles that have never had professional paint correction done, and cars coming out of long-term storage, are also great candidates. If you’re not sure whether your car needs Level 1 or Level 2, reach out and we’ll take a look — we’ll give you an honest assessment rather than just upselling you on the more expensive option.
It depends on the depth of the scratch. If a scratch hasn’t penetrated through the clear coat down to the base coat or primer, Level 2 correction can remove it or significantly reduce its visibility. A good rule of thumb is the fingernail test — if your nail catches in the scratch, it’s likely too deep for polishing alone. We measure paint thickness before starting and assess what can safely be corrected without compromising the clear coat. We’ll always tell you upfront what’s realistic for your specific car rather than promise results we can’t deliver.
